Weekly Events
After School Riding — 3-6 pm, Mon - Fri.
This program runs Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm, and follows the public school calendar. And for any school
holidays, we will host an all day camp for those interested. Advance registration is required.
The afternoon's activities are just what you think happens at a ranch, and that is "a little bit of work"
and "a whole lot of fun'"! Yes, we do ride horses and care for them, but we also play in the dirt, ride bikes,
play on the playground, etc...
The supervised riding Program is available for members only with their own horse or those members with a
horse lease. $5 per day. If your child is interested or you know someone who is, please tell them to
call Mary Jane Wooten at 638-8988 or 218-2964 at night 661-0058. Back to top

as well as the physical ‘one step at a time’...cool down with a fun brunch afterwards! Contact Missy

Afternoon Drills are not just for youth, but "anyone" wanting to brush up on their riding skills. Drills are not private lessons ($25), but a way to practice what you are learning in your lessons under supervision through drills and games.
This month the schedule is as follows, but we will change it monthly so that a particupar topic doesn't always fall on the same day.
Monday's are Western or English Pleasure, Rail Work, Head sets, Legs and Hand positions, i.e. Equitation
Tuesday's are Transitions, Circles, and Lead Changes
Wednesday's is Western Riding
Thursday's is Horsemanship
Friday's is GROUP TRAIL RIDE !!!! YEH but, you have to do a showmanship pattern before you go.
Date/Times are Mon-Fri 3-6pm and is for members only or those interested in becoming members. The topic of the day is posted on the board along with a pattern. The instructor leads everyone in the drills related to that topic. Please make sure you sign in and out when you come so we have a record of your attendance.
The cost is $5 per person for those who board their horse here with us or are on a Silver Creek horse lease. Bring your own horse $10 per person, or if you need to use one of our horses, its $25.
These are fun afternoons at the ranch for all riders! Big and Small ! We try very hard to make learning fun and by mixing it up, we can keep it interesting and challenging for all. Hope you will come out and take advantage of these programs we have designed for our equestrian community. If anyone has other ideas or suggestions on topics they would like to see introduced in March, please let us know. We do this for you, so please give us your input. Back to top
